St George have snaped their two-game losing streak with a 34-4 thrashing of the Manly Sea Eagles.
Both sides were locked in a tight tussle after the first 40 minutes with the Dragons leading just 10-4 after the first half.
Momentum then swung midway through the second half when Manly’s Jorge Taufua was sent to the sin bin for a professional foul on Matt Dufty.
Taufua’s sin-binning opened the gate for St George who poured on four unanswered tries to run away with the match.
Today’s result for Manly now makes it three losses in a row.
Manly coach Des Hasler after the match refused to blame today’s loss on the injuries to his key players.
Missing the likes of Tom Trbojevic and Dylan Walker, Hasler blamed Sunday’s defeat on his squad’s use with the ball. Manly notched a total of 13 errors compared to just six from the Dragons.
“I don’t think being down on injuries contributes to making too many errors with the ball,” Hasler said.
“We’re just not completing for long enough and that’s not going to change unless we fix it.”
