Southampton: Former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram has suggested Pakistan Cricket team captain Azhar Ali to bowl first after winning the toss in the third and final Test at the Rose Bowl.
Swing of Sultan thinks that the national side must have gained confidence after displaying good performance on the final day of the second Test.
“They should have gained confidence the way they bowled especially on this pitch,” he said while expressing his thoughts on Sky Sports Cricket.
“If I was them. I win the toss and bowl first on this pitch,” he added.
Former England captain Andrew Strauss also thinks that bowling first would be a good option after winning the toss as the pitch might be underprepared due to continuous rain in Southampton.
It must be noted that the hosts lead the series 1-0. They won the first Test by three wickets whereas second Test ended in a draw.
